Chapter 45
Lizzie was so tired. She'd been home now 3 weeks. She really couldn't wait another week to see her husband but she had no choice. She'd thought once she got here and got settled she'd feel better. But she didn't feel well at all.
She'd gone to the doctor and he had diagnosed her with stress related migraines. Given her some medication for them and sent her on her way with advice to just relax. So she had tried.
There wasn't a whole lot for her to do home alone. She rarely cooked just for herself.She'd gotten Richies things all taken care of within the first few days she'd been home. She'd found her things her family had had shipped waiting for her and gotten them put away as well. Now all she did was light cleaning here and there and lounge around the pool or read a good book and rest.
Still she was always tired. She found herself sleeping more than normal. Her head hurt more often than not and a few times she felt extremely dizzy like she had felt before passing out at Jon and Beths reception.
She talk to Richie about it. She talked to him almost every day. He wanted her to go back to the doctor and have him look into it more carefully but she just thought maybe she was depressed. Richie didn't think so and he had argued with her about it until she'd relented and promised to book another appointment.
I so don't wanna go......
She thought as she picked up the keys to her car and headed for the door.
But if it will make him feel better and get off my back I'll do it.....
She stopped and crossed off one more day on the calendar and smiled as she headed out the door with a little spring in her step
6 more days... 6 more days til I can thouroughly enjoy my husband again
~~~~~
Lizzie was scared, she didn't like the doctors tone when he'd called. Richie was coming home any time now and she just wanted to enjoy being with him again. Now she was all jittery and worried. The doctor wanted her and Richie to come in tommorrow afternoon for a consultation.
Earlier last week she'd gone for her appointment that Richie had insisted on and the Doctor had run tests and scans and bloodwork and anything he could and then sent her home and told her he'd call with the results as soon as he got them.
Why didn't he just tell her over the phone that she was ok.
because you're not and you know it Lizzie
She scolded herself and felt her pulse race. Since last week not only had her headaches incresed but the time she spent sleeping each day had too. There were times when her legs went tingly and almost numb and her vision wavered alot.
She hadn't told Richie how she was feeling. When he'd asked she only said the same. She didn't want to worry him. Now she had a sinking feeling in her gut when she thought of all the things that could possibly be wrong.
All her life she'd been what alot of people would have considered a 'sickly' child. allergies, asthma. anemia, low blood sugar chronic headaches and sinus problems but this was different than all that. This wasnt just a few days of feeling out of sorts. She'd felt this way for almost 2 months straight now. From the time she woke until she laid back down to sleep.
God Richie please.... I need you so bad right now.
She looked at the clock 3:00. He would be here in less than an hour. She wearily got up from the couch and went to take a shower. She wanted to be fresh and clean and enticing when he walked in the door so she needed to hurry. She need her husband to hold her tight and tell her everything was going to be alright.
