Chapter 30

Jon glanced over to the sleeping woman in his arms A father he was gonna be a father The idea of it scared him but at the same time he couldn't wait to see this little person they created. Sure it wasn't the most perfect timing not with his career skyrocketing but when would be a good time besides he hadn't expected to fall in love again so fast but here he was with the most beautiful , sweet woman . Life couldn't get any better than that. 


He couldn't wait to tell everyone, though not sure how Teek will take it .

Hurry up Monday so they could shout it to the world. 

He gently laid his hand on her stomach and spoke softly to his baby. His thoughts quickly turned to worry when he realized she would be goin' back to school in a few short weeks and she would be all alone and pregnant. Oh she could handle it there was no doubt about that. This was the only drawback of this situation being so far away when she should be near him but he couldn't ask her not to go back not when she was so close in finishing school . 

Marriage was another thing he was definitely considering, but when? If they waited til she was done in school, knowing Bethy like he did there was no way she would want to walk the isle then but if they did it now would she think it was because of the baby he was doin this .

He was going to ask her though, he hadn't thought he would be ready for all of this til Beth. Now with her beside him he could conquer the world. He started to make plans in his head for at least the proposal anyway . 

He needed to call around to find the right ring for her too. He knew she wasn't a big diamond type of girl so it had to be special maybe some engraving? Yes this is exactly what he is going to do. Picking up the phone he started to put his plan into action.


From the moment they had found out she was pregnant , Beth was spoiled more than she ever thought she would ever and to be perfectly honest she enjoyed it. She also was completely unaware of the plans Jon had been making. He decided to wait to propose he didn't want her to think he was doing this because of the baby. They had a week or so off right before she went back to school , so his plan was to whisk her off to a quiet place. Then he would propose to her during that week.with a nice wedding on the beach. That’s if she said yes, he was sure she would but there was always that bit of doubt . 

He had bought a nice off the shoulder white dress a mixture of satin and lace , right above the knee. White sandals to match no heel being the beach. He would get the hairpiece closer to the time. He wanted an array of flowers for her hair. He envisioned her hair down with flowers tucked behind her ear. Himself he chose a pair of black trousers with a white silk shirt. He chose a nice size diamond ring and the wedding bands were woven white gold and yellow gold with the engraving of “two hearts one soul” He was really proud of himself , doing this all while she was in the room and her not having a clue what he was doing. 

Beth wondered when he had been up too but didn't question it , tomorrow was Monday the big day telling everyone their news. She was a bit nervous telling her parents and Tic but Jon reassured her things would be ok. He was being so good to her much more than she thought was possible. If she didn't already love him she sure as hell did now. 

They spent the rest of their Sunday, making love and cuddling watching tv making the best out of the break from the craziness of the tour. Back to reality tomorrow.... what a day for them . Both hoping that everyone would be as happy as they were with this news, but if they weren't oh well . They will get used to it eventually. 

Not knowing Richie and Lizzie's news would shock them all.
