Chapter 34
A couple weeks went by since the the big blow up in the dressing room. Dave was still not talking to Richie or Lizzie , her parents were as much ignoring the whole situation all together. The only ones that seemed to accept their marriage was Jon,Tico, and Beth. Thank god for that too Lizzie didn't think she could lose her best friend over this either but if she did she would be sad but nothing could compare to being with her husband now. She would weather it all for their love to last.
Beth and Lizzie were sitting off to the side watching their men prepare for the show. Now was a good as any to have one of their infamous girl talks.
Lizzie looked over at her friend and smiled . After the dust had settled or somewhat settled , Jon and Beth not only announced they were getting married but they were having a baby. Everybody had been shocked with this double whammy , well not some much with the wedding as the baby but once that wore off , excitement filled the air.
Lizzie was extremely happy for her best friend but jealous at the same time . Wishing she had gotten the same reaction as they did. Tico was ecstatic for someone that had been dead set against this from the beginning was the first to congratulate the couple.
One day they will see she thought sadly
Beth caught her friend looking at her
"Hey , you ok?"
"Yea, ... just wish... " Lizzie sighed.
Beth put her arm around her " I know. I'm sorry "
Lizzie shook her head " Oh no don't be . You deserve to enjoy this happiness "
"Lizzie , just give them time they will all come around to see what Jon and the rest of us sees"
" Yea , when i am 50 " she smarted back
"No not when you are 50. but maybe when you turn 18 " Beth smirked
Lizzie rolled her eyes and then winced , rubbing her head
"Another headache" Beth said worriedly
"Yea damnt i am tired of them too . But its Probably due all the stress "
"Maybe its a good thing you are going home then . Taking a break might do you good"
She nodded " But I will miss him but at least he is my husband now and i will be staying at our house " She smiled.
" Oh yea Mrs Sambora you can whip him into shape now" Beth grinned
Lizzie laughed " Oh yea i like to whip....... never-mind " Sending the girls into a fit of giggles.
"So you ready for your big day .... Mrs Bongiovi to be " Lizzie smirked
"I am actually though I am nervous as hell. I don't know why either I mean this is what I always dreamt of and now its coming true and I am ... I don't know. "
"What is it? You will be fine . You and Jon are meant to be together . You are true soul-mates . And this baby tops it all off " Lizzie reached over and put her hand on her friends still flat stomach.
"I know..its just wow its a bit overwhelming . I thought maybe someday but its now.
"Oh Bethy it will be fine " She hugged her.
" I think what it is after the wedding we just have a week or so before I go back to school. To be so far away.... " She sighed
"I know but just think when you get to see each other .. Watch out neighbors " Lizzie teased.
"I don't think Jon wants me to go back. He said he will worry about me being over there alone and pregnant . But he won't tell me not to go . "
"Well he will just have to call more often , now won't he . I am sure you will be fine . Women have babies everyday " Lizzie laughed
"I told him that but he said those women aren't carrying his baby"
"Isn't he just the sweetest thing " Lizzie quipped
"I know . " Beth smiled looking over at Jon " I promised i would take it easy as much as I could. And no more work he said . So I had to call my boss and told her. "
"Well shit girl , you don't need to work anymore you are gonna be Mrs Bongiovi " Lizzie teased
Beth laughed " Yea i guess it has its perks ."
The girls continued their gab fest til soundcheck was over , Dave exited immediately not one word to Lizzie . Followed by Tico who gave Lizzie a encouraging smile . Alec who just grinned and took off for dinner time.
Lastly,Jon and Richie joined the girls , grabbing their hands and walking off to the catering room for dinner.
